Singapore with Ayano & Sara

In December we had a mini Moody reunion in Singapore~
Ayano only had a very short time here so we made the most of it by going to as many places as possible on Sunday morning.
This is what we did. It was such a full (in all meanings of the term-schedule wise and heart wise) morning and we enjoyed our time together in sunny Singapore.
We went to an early Sunday service at St Andrews church with Rev Michael and wife. After breakfast with them, we walked to the Esplanade and admired the art inside.
Then we took many photos with the durian building, with tropical flowers, landmark signs...
Ayano was thirsty in the warm tropical weather.
The Merlion gave Sara a shower.
After hanging out with the merlion fountain for a while, we decided we would like to see Marina Bay Sands up close and so we google-mapped our way there. We had to use a fast walking pace to get there because time was limited but it was fun!
We are there!
After seeing Ayano off at the MRT station, Sara and I walked to the Raffles City Shopping Mall and found Chijmes (which I had seen in Singaporean dramas before), so we decided to go take a look at this beautiful Gothic-style chapel and its surrounding complex. Chjimes started out as a Catholic convent and had schools there too.
After Chjimes, we kept walking to find the mall with the floating cat coffee we wanted to try but we were disappointed when the baristas told us they no longer do the cat art. The cake and coffee were still good though and we were able to rest our tired legs.
After resting a bit, we decided to keep going and visit Gardens by the Bay since we have not been there before.

There are two big conservatories and we started out with the Cloud Forest. Once you enter, you will see this magnificent falls that contribute to the mist/cloud inside. The temperature inside the Cloud Forest is much cooler than the outside.

It was dark by the time we headed over to the Flower Dome.
We actually ended the night with supper at the mamak stalls and Toastbox, and then took the bus home. Phew~ what a long day and long post.
