A Polish lunch

On the last Sunday before mom and grandma flew back to Malaysia, we went to have lunch at a Polish restaurant (which I first discovered when Rebekka and Elia came to visit York). It was nice to try other European cuisines and have something that mom doesn't know how to make (because she is too good of a cook! haa..) After lunch we also walked along the Shambles (a famous little street in York).

A day in York

Rebekka and Elia came to visit me in York for one full day so we tried to squeeze as much "British" experience into the day as we could such as eating fish & chips, having afternoon tea, strolling along the cobblestone streets of York, watching the red double-decker tour bus go by, and window shopping. They were such lovely visitors that I felt like I was being a tourist visiting in York with them too.

Lulu came to visit me on a beautiful sunny Saturday and we had fun walking around the Museum Garden, seeing the shops in York, having tea and cake at a cafe, and going to CNY eve dinner with my church friends. On the first day of new year (Sunday), we woke up early and treated ourselves to a full English-Swiss breakfast at Betty's before church. It was such a treat to have her here.
