Pockets of light and winter trees

I miss the gloomy days of European winter. Perhaps it is the over-abundance of sunlight in Malaysia that has given me a reverse culture shock or the fact that the cheery sunny days here do not match the emotional climate in my head. Whatever it is, I find myself missing scenes like these from our family trip to Paris this past February.

Paris impressions// sunset at the Seine

I fell in love with the Seine River the last time I was in Paris so one of my most anticipated "locations" to return to this trip was the river. I love strolling along the river and watching the people who are relaxing by the river, on the bridges or on the boats. It doesn't matter which side of the river you're walking on, you get to see so many beautiful buildings and views.

Paris impressions// Evening at the Louvre

I was in Paris for three days with two of my best friends from secondary school era. It was a sort of girls' reunion trip so it was a blessing to be with them in this beautiful city of light. Since this is my second time there, I will just post some photos of the impressions I get from this trip instead of doing it by the things I saw each day.

ps: I did go in and saw Mona Lisa this time (will post that up later~). Also, Ryan Air gave me a cheap deal for the trip's tickets and the whole experience with this cheap airline was not too bad (since I was warned by many in advance that you pay what you get. haa...).
