03.11.2013

A typical day in my postgraduate studies day in Bristol. Looking back, I miss these days. The roads I always took, the seasons, and the mundane.
The gym is next to the arts and social science library.
Walking over to the local food store to buy some fruits. Actually I rarely went to this store but I did that day to treat myself to some healthy options instead of my usual Sainsbury's haul.

From Chinatown to the Trafalgar Square (summer '13)

I'm finally getting around to organising my photos from August last year so here are some shots from around the Chinatown area in London. Prior to going to London, I did not realise that you could just walk from Chinatown to Trafalgar Square to Buckingham Palace, and have access to the broadway theatres all in the same area. It was pretty cool to see how close things were to each other. :)

The world at the London Borough Market

I love going to the Borough Market because it is a place where peoples and cultures from all over the world gather and it is such a happening place: fresh smells sweet and savoury baked goods, seafood, coffee, etc and seeing the smoke from the grills rising to the air, shop keepers giving out samples of their food, cutting the cheese, weighing the vegetables, pouring tea, and shoppers making their ways through the colourful market filled with the best of foods from a variety of cultures. I just really love this kind of place because I love people-watching and I've always thought food is an excellent starting point to get to know a new culture and people.
