Trip to Grasmere, Lake District.

Two Saturdays ago, I went on another university-organized trip to the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. Grasmere is the little town we visited and this little village was once home of the famous poet William Wordsworth.
Before that, here are some pictures of the passing scenery as I rode on the bus to Grasmere. Since it is October, leaves are starting to change colour.

We made a pit stop at a small market town called Settle for breakfast.
Approaching our destination.

Below are pictures of Grasmere:

Walking around the town on a Saturday morning.
A garden dedicated to William Wordsworth.
A wedding at St. Oswald's Church.
Father and son on the bridge.
Crystal clear water.
So much green and nature to take in. It was beautiful.
After walking around Grasmere in the morning, the group gathered again at 1.30pm to go on a guided hike around the lakes.
Aren't these trees and moss-covered rocks beautiful?
There were plenty to see during the hike. Praise God for the wonderful weather because without it, the hike would not have been as enjoyable.
It was exciting to finally see one of the lakes after a long hike.

After a three-hour hike, I was exhausted but delighted at the same time because being in the beautiful nature that God has created was so refreshing.

Studying applied linguistics

It is well into the month of October and classes and assignments are keeping me busy. The teachers are all really helpful and organized so that takes a lot the stress away. I went on a day trip to the Lake District this past Saturday and hiked around the lakes. It was a beautiful day. I will blog about that soon.

Here's a passage on wisdom that I read recently and it is a great reminder that in whatever we are doing now, we need to fear God first and walk in His path.
" My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,  turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding--indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,  and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,  then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.  For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.  He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,  for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.  Then you will understand what is right and just and fair--every good path.  For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul."
