Bristol International Balloon Fiesta-Part 1

The most memorable thing about going to this annual Bristol hot air balloon festival is getting to know the 3 other volunteers better because two of them just joined us here in COCM. We had fun walking a lot, experiencing the excitement of seeing new and beautiful things, and fellowshipping with Bristol fellowship's brothers and sisters, and their generous hospitality. The four of us enjoyed this spontaneous weekend getaway to hilly Bristol a lot! Praise God for it.
Here is our journey to see the balloons~
Departing from MK by train. Got a bowl of hot wonton seaweed soup in Birmingham.
Took the megabus to Bristol and found these 'Shaun in the city' sheeps
We waited for our taxi in front of the Bristol Cathedral for 30 minutes, but the taxi we took actually broke down 5 minutes into the journey, so we had no choice but to walk the rest of the 40 minutes journey to the balloon fiesta. The journey consisted of hill climbing but also the blessing of many beautiful views along the way.
First sight of a hot air balloon!
We crossed a highway and bridges.
A stranger taught us that this leaf/grass below can be used to rub your skin if you have been stung by nettles.

Hot air balloon flying just above our heads
 Almost there...

Picnic-Eating our fried rice dinner made by an aunty from church.
We met up with some brothers and sisters from Bristol's student fellowship there.
Fireworks, which were blocked by the trees. haha
Group photo in front of the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Had a good walk back to home.
