My surprisingly big bed in my assigned bedroom. |
After picking up the welcome pack and keys, a shuttle took us to our accommodations. I was dropped off at my university managed house with no housemates on the first day. Basically I had to figure out everything on my own, simple things like: how to lock the door, turn off the house alarm (which gave me a shock when I entered the house), use the heater (which I still haven't figured out but thankfully my housemates are helping with that currently), etc. After unpacking a little, I went out to get some groceries. Thank God for google map! I did get a little lost at first but somehow managed to find my way back on the right path and when I finally found the supermarket, I did a little victory skip in my heart. Three pictures I took of my neighbourhood and the groceries I bought.
I don't remember what else happened this first day because I was jet-lagged, information-overload with so many new things around me and trying to do several things at once, and happily/tiredly hopped into bed (even though it was really cold, I miss Malaysia already! haa..)
