Early May Kuching sunset

On Wednesday (a public holiday) last week, we went on a walk at the Kuching old town and waterfront, which are my favourite places in Kuching. It's so leisurely and we discovered new paths and art that we haven't seen before.

I wanted to take some portraits of my parents because I realised we didn't take any proper photos for my dad's 55th birthday and this spot in front of the James Brooke Bistro was so green and nice.
After watching the River Cruise go by, we kept walking along the waterfront towards the direction of the hotels.
...and we found this trendy wall art gallery drawn by UNIMAS students, which means more portraits taking!

Aunty (who rarely wants to have her pictures taken) was influenced by our enthusiasm for photos taking and requested for a photo with my mom.
Hornbill, the Dayak people, cat, and crocodile are all motifs that represent Sarawak.
Donut boats/floating restaurants:
It looks like the cat is peeking at us.
Hello kucing.
Golden sunset sky and the sampan driver
After that, we walked to the Junk to have dinner.

Ice cream and sunset

I found a new Sabah-made ice cream made with local ingredients while browsing food blogs by Sabahans a few days ago so we decided to go try it. Coincidentally, this small Sabah Froz Ice Creamery is located at the beautiful Sutera Harbour Marina Jetty. After dad finished his work for the day and after we did some errands in town, the three of us went there for ice cream and sunset.
It is such a blessing to be able to enjoy leisurely evenings like this at home in KK with my family and to enjoy the splendid sunset view that He has painted the sky with. And of course, being our family, we took some photos too.
